The good: I tried the Ube Cheesedesal from a food festival and thought they were great and fresh. I liked the appearance (purple, round and cute) and the fluffy interior. These are great as gifts or for catering events. They offer a lot of authentic Filipino dishes for catering as well. The bad: Ube desserts were something I had during my first pregnancy that led me to not be able to eat ube things again because I now associate it with the nausea I had during my first trimester. The interesting: I love how Filipinos use cheese in their desserts because it adds a creamy savoriness.

Big shoutout to the family for providing a quality ordering and pickup service of my 75ct banana turon order. I placed an order a week ahead for a picnic. The communication was quick and simple. I had to wait just a lil bit during pickup as my turon order was being driven over. Definitely freshly made (day of)! I taste tested one of the turon before arriving at my picnic obligation. The turon hit the spot. It was a hit with my friends at the picnic as well. And all the turon was gone in no time. A lot of people came up to me sharing compliments about how good the turon tasted. Will consider catering here again for any of my events near by. Maraming Salamat Po! @jirosan_adv

A fantastic experience! Found on Instagram because I needed an order delivered for a small party. I ordered lumpia shanghai, pancit canton, lechon belly and chicken skewers. They were very responsive and answered questions quickly about my order. Customer service was top notch and the delivery was right on time - delivery window was between 10:30-11am and it arrived right at 10:45am. Food was hot and delicious. Absolutely will order food again and consider it for a larger event, as I saw they can also do more extensive party planning and catering services. Thank you!

wow! just ordered food here for the first time and was very pleased with the my food! they were wrapped carefully and professionally and they tasted really good! I ordered chicken inasal and grilled pampano and they were aplenty and very tasty! their dessert (the green stuff) was so good! and they wete reasonably priced! this was a surprise gem for me

I was so glad to find this place on Yelp. It's hard to find a Filipino restaurant that will deliver to/in downtown SF. We had a Filipino Holiday potluck today and I ordered the family bundle + 2 extra dishes. Sisig Chicken bbq Chopsuey Java rice Grilled squid And of course lumpia Everyone loved the food and asking for their contact info. We'll call again for our next party!

I got the chicken inasal, dynamite and buko pandan. I lived in the Philippines and I forgot the sweet tang of vinegar that all the inasal comes with. The dynamite was larger and different than I am used to and has a little more of a jalapeño popper vibe. The buko pandan was 500% better than I remember in the Philippines. Definitely give it a try- but heads up the chicken is vinegary!

I saw this on the delivery app and I was interested in the Lechon with garlic rice and egg with Shanghai Lumpia. It was good and it was delicious. I like the flavor of the dish. I will have to try the rest of the menu in the future. They are located in San Francisco.

One of those lazy, rainy Sundays which means a hot date with the bed and the tv. And, when you can't drive yourself anywhere...delivery to the rescue! After watching Raina (competitive eater) crush 141 lumpia...yes...one hundred and forty one...lumpia...in...7 minutes, I started craving pinoy food. But, wait for this...she could have eaten more lumpia but the kitchen ran out of lumpia. Yo, how does a Filipino restaurant run out of lumpia? When it comes to food, pinoys be ready for apocalypse for the entire hood! I was scrolling through Uber Eats and DoorDash, and saw Kusina was offering B1,G1 Free Lumpia and Silogs...SOLD. Kusina is operating out of a ghost kitchen at 90 Charter Oak so takeout and delivery only. Per their website, looks like they also cater events. M E N U Apps, All Day Silogs (Filipino breakfast: Choice of protein, rice, and egg), Bilao Platters, and Desserts. My delivery order quickly arrived in about 30 minutes. Everything arrived warm and impeccably packaged. Thank you for venting the fried foods so they stayed crunchy. F O O D * Lumpia Shanghai ($7.99): https://bit.ly/3DBDLe3 *** B1, G1 Free The pork lumpia shanghai were warm, crunchy, and addictive. Served with a side of sweet & sour sauce. Can rarely go wrong with lumpia. * Liempo Silog: Marinated grilled pork belly w/ rice, sunny-side up egg ($16.99): https://bit.ly/3dkKpek *** B1, G1 Free (select silogs only) *** Silogs are also served with a slice of tomato, spiced white vinegar, and a baby karioka (fried sweet glutinous rice ball). Choice of white rice, garlic rice, or java rice. *** Add Vigan-style loganisa (+$3.25) My fav part of the silog was the java rice which you don't see very too often. The java rice is like a pinoy fried rice which gets its red hue from annatto and turmeric. So delicious with the runny yolk from the sunny-side up egg and a dash of the accompanying spiced white vinegar. The liempo was flavorful with nice charring but on the tough, chewy side. Never tried vigan-style longanisa before so did an add-on. Not my jam...while garlicky, the sausage filling was very dry and course. Sticking with the usual sweet longanisa next time. * BBQ Skewers: Chicken + Pork ($7.99): https://bit.ly/3SifduG These skewers were looong! I'm not familiar with all the regional kinds of pinoy food but the marinate they use for their BBQ was too sour for me. * Pandan Karioka: Sweet glutinous rice balls (4 pc - $3.25): https://bit.ly/3dq8O1X Fried-to-order, the pandan karioka (like a fried mochi balls) were still hot upon arrival. Crispy+sticky on the outside and deliciously chewy on the inside with bits of sweet coconut. I usually find pinoy desserts too sweet but this wasn't the case, though one karioka was enough because these balls were a good size. I've only tried karioka that's pre-made at turo-turo places so this was a treat. Overall, if you're craving pinoy food for delivery, def take advantage of the B1, G1 Free Deals from Kusina!
